VermiCompost as the name suggests is the casting of worms, it is the end product of the breakdown of organic matter by worms mainly earthworms. There are a variety of worms used for this process.

 

VermiCompost is an excellent nutrient-rich fertilizer with water-soluble nutrients. There are enzymes in VermiCompost which are formed as part of the decomposition process by the earthworms. There are many worms that are used for this, the most commonly used earthworm is Eisenia fetida.
